Finding Your Way Home: The Power of Your Internal Map

Have you ever had a reaction to something a partner’s comment, a work email, a sudden change in plans hat felt far bigger than the moment itself?
In those seconds, your heart races, your jaw tightens, or you suddenly feel like pulling away entirely.
When this happens, you aren't just "overreacting."
You are acting from a part of you that is still hurt, still young, and still trying to survive a past that is no longer happening.
True alignment doesn't happen through logic alone; it happens in the subconscious mind the place where 95% of our internal decisions and reactions are made.
Understanding the Reactivity
In my practice at Somatics-Embodied, I bring insight and enlightenment to these hidden places using the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model. When we feel "triggered," it’s often because a very young part of us, the Exile, has been touched. To protect that child, our internal system kicks into high gear:
The Firefighter creates a Hyper-vigilant / Fight state. It burns with anger or impulsivity to distract you from the pain.
The Manager acts as an Over-protective Gatekeeper. This part is exhausted from being in hyper-control, trying to manage every variable to ensure you stay safe.
The Path to Alignment: From Control to Connection
The goal of our work isn’t to "fix" these parts, but to attune to them. I facilitate this journey through the lens of Somatic Hypnotherapy, a powerful modality that allows us to communicate directly with the subconscious to repattern the nervous system at its root.
In fact, studies of the subconscious show that targeted intervention like hypnotherapy has a 93% success rate because it addresses the core of where our habits and triggers live. This is why my 4-Week Nervous System Reset is so effective at creating rapid shifts.
Softening the Gatekeeper (The Manager)
We acknowledge the Manager’s exhaustion. We let this part know it no longer has to carry the heavy burden of hyper-control. In the Reset, we help the Manager step down so your system can move from "surviving" to "being."
Calming the Fire (The Firefighter)
We address the hyper-vigilance. By understanding that this part is only trying to protect you from pain, we help it find healthier ways to exist that don't involve burning down your relationships or your peace of mind.
Securing the Child (The Exile)
When the protectors step back, the Inner Child finally feels safe enough to exist. No longer "locked in a closet," this part can reconnect to the Self, your true, authentic essence.
Becoming Self-Assured
This is the heart of subconscious repatterning. When you understand your internal map, you become self-assured in a way that is grounded and real. You are no longer at the mercy of your triggers because you know exactly who is speaking inside of you.

By differentiating your Self from these extreme roles, you move into Self-Leadership. You become the compassionate witness to your own life, guiding your internal family with kindness and free will.
